Valda Beavin Scholarship for Animal Welfare
Valda Beavin cared deeply about animals and people. Her son Paul and his wife, Janis Beavin, established the scholarship in her memory. Valda was devoted to her family—three sons, six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren—and was an animal lover who welcomed the family dogs into her home, where she was known for giving them far too many treats.
The Valda Beavin Scholarship helps Georgia animal welfare professionals attend conferences and symposiums for continuing education and professional development.
