Valda Beavin Scholarship for Animal Welfare
Valda Beavin cared about animals and people. Her son Paul and his wife Janis Beavin set up this scholarship fund to honor her memory. Valda had three sons, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was an animal lover and encouraged her family to bring their dogs to her house where would give them way too many treats. The Valda Beavin Scholarship makes it possible for many Georgia animal welfare professionals to attend continuing education and professional development conferences and symposiums.
